Former FBI agent convicted in slaying

LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 63-year-old former FBI agent has been convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the hammer slaying of his son's girlfriend in Las Vegas more than two years ago.

A Clark County District Court jury on Tuesday returned a guilty verdict on a lesser charge, rejecting a murder charge for Edward Preciado-Nuno in the November 2008 death of Kimberly Long.

Preciado-Nuno faces probation or up to one to

10 years in state prison at sentencing Feb. 23.
