The Dance Workshop presents "The Clock Strikes Twelve" at at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Bob Boldrick Theater in the Carson Community Center.

The show is a spoof of the classic Cinderella Story.

An African Prince needs to find a bride or he will lose his kingdom. He comes to Carson City to host a Sock Hop since he is an avid fan of '50s music. At the dance, he hopes to find the girl of his dreams. After many twists and turns, he finds Cindy, the stepdaughter of Mrs. Prudence Wainwright.

Guess what happens next? Cindy loses her shoe, and the prince loses Cindy. Come see how it all turns out.

The program includes 175 local dancers ranging in age from 3 to 50. They delight the audience with dance routines in ballet, tap, jazz, ballroom and contemporary style.

The show is very entertaining, filled with familiar, toe-tapping tunes and appeals to an audience of all ages.

Tickets are $15 and on sale now at the Dance Workshop or at the door. For more information, call the Dance Workshop at 782-8717.
