Sterling Vaughn Lerud, 75, of Carson City died Feb., 26, 2010. He was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Ada, Minn., to Alvin and Alice Lerud. He was preceded in death by his sons Terry Lerud and Daniel Lerud. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Virginia Lerud; daughter Tracy Lerud; son Jeff Lerud and wife Heide, and son Jeremy; his daughter-in-law Eva Wick-Lerud; two grandchildren; brother Sherman Lerud and wife Sue Lerud; sister Sharon Axdahl and husband Leo Axdahl; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held March 6. Autumn Funerals & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
