Strings in Schools presents concert

Strings in the Schools, Carson City Symphony's after-school program, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1 at the Plaza Conference Center, 211 E. Ninth St., Carson City.

About 80 string players, including Carson City public-, private-, and home-schooled students, directed by Sue Kitts will perform several pieces from classics to folk and fiddle tunes. The concert features beginning violins in grades two to five, pre-orchestra violin ensemble, and youth orchestra for more advanced students of all ages and adult mentors.

The April Fools concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call 775-450-5584.
