Elizabeth was born March 31, 1927, in Clearwater, California. She married Doug Minter on March 11, 1950, and the family moved to Carson City in 1964. In the 1970s Elizabeth and Doug co-founded Tip Top Amusement Company. The business eventually grew into northern Nevada's largest amusement game operator. Elizabeth served as bookkeeper and secretary during the company's formative years.

Throughout the past four decades Elizabeth generously volunteered time and labor to many area organizations, including: St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Cub Scouts, Job's Daughters and the Carson Convalescence Home.

In 1996 Elizabeth received the Vivian Wilde Memorial Youth Service Award for her work with Job's Daughters. She was also a 50-year member of Eastern Star, the women's auxiliary for Carson Masonic Lodge #1.

Elizabeth's family will celebrate her life with a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Elizabeth's memory to any organization that feeds the homeless.
