Dahl George Bekker

Dahl George Bekker, 73, of Wellington passed away at his home Friday, March 25, 2011.
He was born Aug. 15, 1937, in Logan, Utah, the son of George Bekker and LaVerne Rose.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and several years thereafter in the National Guard. He owned his own construction business in Hayward, Calif., until he moved to Carson City in 1976, where he later retired from the state of Nevada in 1999.
He treasured the time he spent with his family and enjoyed restoring classic vehicles, hunting and fishing. Dahl was a loving father and a loyal friend; he will be greatly missed.
Dahl is survived by his brother Lee DeMoyne Bekker and sister Beverly Rose Bekker of Orem, Utah; former wives Linda Lou Bekker of Gardnerville and Patt Bekker of Carson City; daughters Michele Ann Moore of Pleasanton, Calif., Donelle Marie Belarde and Sarah Frances Morey of Carson City; stepdaughters April Marie Flynt of Minden, and Donna Lynn Keeler of Woodburn, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 9, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1045 Spruce St., Minden.
