Ralph and Judy Jenkins, of Carson City will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Friday, April 21, 2011.

The couple was married in Nashville, Tenn. Ralph rose to the rank of lieutenant commander while stationed at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, Va., and Judy served as treasurer of the Officers' Wives Club.

Ralph went into the private sector after military service, eventually settling on defense contracting in Washington, D.C. Judy volunteered at Dulles National Airport's Traveler's Aid desk then served as a docent at the National Museum of American History in the nation's capital. In 1987, the couple bought the historic Matheson-Warfield mansion in Healdsburg, Calif., and spent five years restoring it to its former glory. Ralph formed his own computer consulting company in Windsor, Calif. The couple moved to the Carson Valley in 2000.

They have one daughter and two grandchildren in Santa Rosa, Calif.
