Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Duffy Sean Thomas, 20, of Carson City, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. Thursday at East Nye Lane and College Parkway on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana over one ounce, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, no license plate light, failure to use turn signal, driving without a valid license, no proof of insurance and failure to yield to emergency vehicle. Bail was set at $15,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report of loud drunk people in the 1100 block of South Curry Street at 1:18 a.m. A felony arrest was made.

• Accident at 8:56 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Carson Street.

• A mother reported at 12:13 p.m. that her son was punched in the face by a classmate at Bordewich Bray Elementary and the principal would not tell her who the puncher was.

• A custodian at Carson Middle School reported at 9:08 p.m. he heard noises on the roof and when he went up to check he found a candle burning and graffiti in reference to two high school students who died. The school was uncertain about pressing charges. A 17-year-old boy admitted involvement.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• A Mason Valley woman reported at 11:17 a.m. that someone broke into her father's Shirley Lane home and stole his coffee pot.

• Report of a purse stolen from a vehicle on Goldfield Avenue in Mason Valley at 10:31 p.m.
