A celebration of the life of Kathy Garretson, born Katheryn Ann McKinney, will be at 5 p.m. Friday, April 29 in the Conference Room at the Carson City Plaza, 411 9th St., Carson City. Kathy was born in 1961 in Cody, Wyo., to Loni and Donna McKinney and moved with the family to Nevada where she attended school. Kathy married Tom Garretson on March 1, 1994. Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom Garretson; sister, Cheryl McKinney of Sun Valley; daughter Jessica Fletcher and granddaughter Hailey of Ogden, Utah; son Donald Heidtman of Reno; stepson Galen Garretson of San Francisco; uncle Harley McKinney; and numerous cousins and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City.
