Obituary: Julio Navarro

Julio Navarro passed away on Saturday August 13th, 2011. Born in Azusa CA he served in the U.S. Army in WWII and retired as a master carpenter after 33 years.

Julio loved his Tequila, Keno and the Silver Club...his second home. He will be remembered as a person with a good heart and irreplaceable character. His colorful use of words both in English and Spanish will stay in our hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Navarro, his son Julio "Lonnie" Navarro, grandson Joseph Edward Jaramillo a sister and many brothers.

Julio is survived by his daughters, Theresa Navarro, Anna (Phillip) Fleischmann and son David (Gloria) Navarro, his sisters Alicia Daugherty, Cora Marquez and brother Carlos Navarro.

He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Sierra Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Memorial Drive at the SW corner of Lemmon Drive & HWY 395, Exit 74, Reno NV on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2pm. A viewing will be at La Paloma, 5301 Longley Lane, Building E. Suite 180, Reno NV from 11a.m. till 1 p.m. prior to the service.
