James W. 'Jimmy' Browne, 52, of Gardnerville, Nevada, formerly of Brigantine, New Jersey, died suddenly on November 25, 2011 at the Renown Regional Medical Center, Reno Nevada. Jimmy was born on September 7, 1959 in Teaneck, New Jersey and was a member of Saint Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville, Nevada. Jimmy worked as a Journeyman Electrician for the Trump Hotel Casino in Atlantic City and Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Jimmy, a 20 year cancer survivor, lived life courageously and with enthusiasm.

He was the son of John and Nancy Browne, Brigantine ,New Jersey. He married Diana Torres Browne on November 9, 1985. Jimmy, although disabled, was adventurous. He loved landsailing, boating, alpine skiing, and windsurfing. He accomplished his two Associates Degrees in business and computers at Western Nevada Community College. Jimmy is survived by his parents, John and Nancy Browne; beloved wife, Diana Torres Browne; brothers Patrick, Johnny and their children; sisters Christina, Aileen, Jacinta; brother and sisters-in-law, cousins and many friends both in New Jersey and Nevada. Jimmy's smile, kindness and love of others will be missed by all who knew him and he will be forever in our hearts. At his request, Jimmy will be cremated and a mass service will be conducted at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Brigantine, New Jersey, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:00am.
