A coalition of organizations called on the Attorney General's office to reject the multi-state settlement of the foreclosure crisis and asked for a full investigation nationwide.

Bob Fulkerson of the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada said banks have falsified loan documents, illegally sold loans and need to be investigated and punished for their conduct during the housing and construction industry collapse.

"It's time Wall Street be held to the same rule of law" as everyone else.

The multi-state settlement proposal, "is too small." He said it would give banks blanket immunity for a mere $5 billion.

Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani said signing that agreement before a full investigation of the foreclosure crisis would be premature.

The group includes organizations such as the culinary workers union, the Las Vegas Foreclosure Task Force, Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice, Nevada Immigrant Coalition and Reno/Sparks NAACP.挠
