The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada would like to thank the Nevada Appeal and their staff for running so many articles on our Mentor Center program. Due to the tremendous exposure we received we have seen a sizable increase in the number of adults who now want to become mentors. I would also like the thank the Appeal for their coverage of our recent Art Exhibit.
The coverage not only spurred members of the community to view the creative work of our youth, but also created excitement from the budding artists. The art program, partially funded by the David Chase Foundation, is a source of great pride at the club. From piano and guitar lessons, mosaics, and water colors, the youth are able to expand their creative horizon and learn lifelong skills. Thanks again for sharing our story with the community.
