Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Jose Diaz Luis, 32, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 7:17 p.m. in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of gross misdemeanor failure to appear on a charge of attempted larceny and misdemeanor criminal contempt. No bail was set.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Money and other items were stolen from a home on East Nye Lane sometime before 2:38 p.m.

• A mother reported at 5:38 p.m. that her 13-year-old stepdaughter was being bullied at Carson Middle School.

• A mother reported at 6:47 p.m. that her 16-year-old daughter was being threatened by classmates at the high school.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Three men were arrested at 5:22 p.m. in Fernley for allegedly short-changing clerks from at least three businesses there. The police were called out after a liquor store clerk caught on to the scam and fought with one of the suspects.

• A Fernley grandfather reported at 11:04 p.m. that his 23-year-old grandson was intoxicated and threatening the grandmother. The grandfather reported the grandson stomped on his grandmother's foot. An arrest was made.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Arrest at 9:28 a.m. on Waltham Way.

• Report at 2:29 p.m. on South E. Street of a cat attacking its owner.
