YERINGTON - Destinee Serawop took an inbounds pass with four seconds to go, dribbled up court and hit a three-pointer to send the Dayton girls basketball team into overtime against Yerington Friday night.

Unfortunately the Dust Devils couldn't cash in on the clutch shot falling 39-38 to the Lions.

Serawop and Maribel Ledezma, both sophomores, led the team with nine points apiece.

Dayton held a four point lead after three quarters in the back and forth game but Yerington stormed back to take the lead before Serawop's buzzer beater.

In overtime, it came down to free throw shooting and Yerington capitalized on its opportunities.

"I am proud of the girls," coach Cliff Serawop said. "We are starting to put it all together."

Taylor Hill add five points and Amber Brooks and Andrea Ramirez each chipped in four.

Dayton travels to Fallon for a 2 p.m. game today.
