Micromanipulator hires contractor

The Micromanipulator Company, a Carson City manufacturer of probing equipment for the semiconductor industry, said recently it contracted with NW Test Solutions Inc. to handle sales and service of Micromanipulator products in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.


Mint wins federal job

Northwest Territorial Mint of Dayton won a federal contract worth $80,240 to produce 17,000 commemorative civilian service medal sets for the global war on terrorism. The sets will consist of a medal and a lapel pin.


Community Home Finance recognized

Community Home Finance of Dayton has been recognized as "Most Valuable Partner" by the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.

Community Home Finance helped 19 families purchase their first homes with the Home at Last Mortgage Credit Certificate Program.


Safety program completed

American Buildings Company West Division in Carson City has become one of 17 companies statewide to hold Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program status from the Nevada Division of Industrial Relations.

Under terms of an agreement reached with Nevada OSHA, Americans Buildings Company West Division established the safety measures required to achieve SHARP status. The producer of metal buildings is owned by NUCOR Corp. of Charlotte, N.C.

Kohn Colodny, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, selected Eileen Webb of Streamline Consulting of Carson City to conduct a productivity and time management workshop for its employees.


Price Target wins contract

Price Target Media of Carson City received a $62,750 contract from Microcap Solutions to provide a short-term investor relations program for Bill the Butcher Inc., a publicly held meat retailer in Seattle.


Hutter joins advisory board of City bank

Collie Hutter, chief financial/operations officer and co-owner of Click Bond, Inc., has been named to the Northern Nevada Advisory Board of City National Bank.

Hutter and her husband, Charles, founded the manufacturer of aerospace fasteners in 1987. Click Bond employs 250 in Carson City.


Merrill becomes a CDRS Certified Member

William "Bill" Merrill" of Trans-Action Realty, Inc. has become a member of the Certified Default Resolution Specialist (CDRS) Program, a national network of licensed real estate professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to better educate homeowners about their options and be a resource in helping them avoid foreclosure.
