NORTH LAS VEGAS (AP) - A North Las Vegas judge ordered the arrested former boyfriend of a slain dancer held without bail on allegations he strangled, dismembered and covered the woman's body in concrete.

The Las Vegas Sun reported Tuesday that 32-year-old Jason Griffith said nothing as he appeared briefly by video monitor on a murder charge.

Griffith was arrested Saturday after police found the body of Deborah Flores-Narvaez at a downtown Las Vegas home in two plastic tubs filled with concrete.

Griffith is expected back in court Wednesday for a probable cause hearing.

The Clark County coroner's office ruled Tuesday that the dancer was asphyxiated.

Flores-Narvaez was reported missing by her roommate Dec. 14, two days after she headed to Griffith's house to watch a television show about a serial killer.
