Ralph G. Newman Jr., 81, died Jan. 13, 2011, in Carson City. He was born March 14, 1929, in Great Works, Maine, to Ralph and Glenwood Newman. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Newman; son Marc Newman and his wife, Sonya; a grandson; sister Avis Dunworth; and numerous extended family members. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
