Obituary: John T. Biale

Longtime Carson City resident John T. Biale passed away July 9, 2011 at his residence, He was born January 25, 1932 in Salt Lake City, UT to Charles Vaccaro and Coltilda Biale. He was a retired traffic engineer for the Nevada Department of Transportation, a Korean war Navy veteran and was involved in Babe Ruth baseball for over 50 years having served as the commissioner, assistant commissioner and as an umpire. He was preceded in death by his son Robert "Bobby" Biale in 1995.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, son John Jr. and daughter Marisa Biale all of Carson City.

Per his request, no services will be held. Cremation and private inurnment are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home and Crematory-Fallon.

The family suggests donations be made in his memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Attn: Tributes, Churchill Street Station, Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780 or to the charity of your choice.
