We have lived off Fifth street in east Carson City for over 21 years. It is a great area and we have some of the best neighbors around.

For more than four years, I and three friends have played music in our home one day a week. Our home sits on approximately one acre. All of our existing neighbors and friends have told us how much they enjoy the music when they hear it and have no issue with it. It is not loud or offensive and always stops prior to 9 p.m. on weeknights.

Evidently someone new has moved into the neighborhood or someone has had a change of heart and they do not enjoy music and laughter. The police have been called to our home and our neighbor's home at least three times this month because this anonymous caller is unhappy.

Honestly, the knock on the door by the police is much louder and more obnoxious than the music being played. We would like to extend an offer to this neighbor and ask them to come speak to us directly - obviously they know where we live - and let us know what is offensive to them so we can change it and work it out so this is a win-win for everyone.

We will understand if there are some extenuating circumstances for this individual that may cause them to be bothered by the music and laughter, and would like to work with them.
