Roberson to head Republican Senate campaign

(Nevada Appeal Capitol Bureau) - Sen. Michael Roberson, R-Las Vegas, has been named chairman of the Senate Caucus campaign committee.

Minority Leader Mike McGinness, R-Fallon, said Roberson will lead fundraising and recruiting efforts and organize the party's "groundgame" for the 2012 election cycle.

He said Roberson proved in his freshman session this year he is "not afraid to make the tough decisions that will ensure a fiscally sustainable state government."

"I look forward to his support in the coming months while we work to take back the majority in the Nevada State Senate," said McGinness.
