The Carson City Little League's Hooligans team defeated Fernely 9-1 on Sunday. Carson scored six runs in the fourth inning. Dawson Fettic had a double that scored Nolan Hogan. In the sixth inning, Johnny Cavilia singled, and then stole second, third and home. Jesse Knorzer hit a two-run homer to close the scoring.
Hogan pitched the first five innings, striking out five. Ryan Foster and came on and got two outs, but used up his 20 pitch limit. He was replaced with Henry Loos, who got the final out.
Carson advances to the semifinals against Reno American. Results will appear in Wednesday's Nevada Appeal.
