Crews at head on collision in Dayton

Rescue crews are on the scene of a head-on collision on Highway 50 East In Dayton.

The accident happened about 6:20 p.m.

One vehicle is blocking the westbound lanes, the second vehicle is off the east side of the road where extrication was needed to remove the injured occupants, according to Lyon County scanner traffic.

One person will be taken by helicopter to the Reno trauma center, two others will be taken by ambulance to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Motorists should expect delays in the area.
