LAS VEGAS (AP) - A poll shows the wife of outgoing Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman leads the race to replace him.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal/8NewsNow poll found Carolyn Goodman was supported by 36 percent of those surveyed, more than double that of her closest competitor.

The survey showed Clark County Commissioner Larry Brown with 17 percent, fellow Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani with 12 percent and Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross with 6 percent. Twenty percent were undecided.

The city primary election is April 5.

The telephone survey of 600 likely municipal election voters was conducted late last week by Las Vegas-based Magellan Research. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
