A Carson City woman was killed in an early morning crash on Highway 50 East in Mark Twain this morning.

According to Trooper Mike Edgell of the Nevada Highway Patrol, Andrew Liljenquist, 23, of Carson City, was westbound in a Honda sedan 10 miles east of Dayton when his vehicle swerved to the right.

Edgell said the Honda then swerved back to the left and turned broadside, crossing the center line and into the path of an eastbound Ford Ranger pickup driven by Charles Wohosky, 69, of Carson City.

Liljenquists's passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Carson City, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Liljenquist was taken by helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

Wohosky and his passenger Janice Wiley, 56, of Carson City, were each taken to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance.

Edgell said the preliminary investigation indicates alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in this crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
