Obituary: Ralph Edward Porter Jr.

Ralph Edward Porter Jr., 79, of Carson City died May 8, 2011. He was born in Bemidgi, Minn., on Jan. 4, 1932, to Ralph Edward Porter Sr. and Bessie Porter. He was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Schaffner. He is survived by his wife Geri, son Jim Porter, daughters Carol Wootton and Kelly Porter, sisters Lillian Waters and June French, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. Capitol City Cremation & Burial is in charge of arrangements.
