Iris Beck Dahl, 93, was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Watertown, S.D., to William and Edith Beck. She passed away May 9, 2011, in Carson City where she has resided for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Order of the Eastern Star #149, and the Retail Clerks Union Local #1092. Iris is survived by her husband of 76 years, Leon Dahl; children, Sherry Cairns of Cumming, Ga., Connie Anooshian (Armen) of Henderson, Marjorie Shapiro of Eugene, Ore., and Leon Dahl Jr. of Veneta, Ore.; 15 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and friend and caregiver, Debbie Segna. No service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City.
