Jane Francis, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2011 at her home in Carson City, Nevada. Jane was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and was one of 3 siblings born to the late Dan and Mildred (Murphy) Dudley. Jane graduated from Kingston General Hospital and became an R.N. in 1955. She then set off with some classmates to make their fortune in the U.S. She met the handsome William Boyd Francis and they were married at the little Chapel of Flowers in Las Vegas, NV in 1962.

They set up their home in Burbank, California where their 2 children, Judy and Larry, were born and from there lived in Van Nuys and Lake Tahoe, California and Anchorage, Alaska. In 1991 Jane retired and they bought an R.V. and had many adventures for 19 years. In 2010, she finally settled down in a lovely place in Carson City, NV where she loved to visit the local FISH Thrift Shop and decorate with her finds. It was one of her greatest pleasures.

Jane will be missed and remembered by all her friends she touched and especially by her friend Lyn. Jane is survived by her husband of 48 years, William Francis; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Billy Woods; granddaughter Bonnie Jane; and her brothers John (Julie) and Gordon (Kathy) Dudley. Jane was preceded in death by her son, Larry, and her beloved dog, Bogart. There will be no services. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements. 775-882-4965
