Michael Ray Burgoon, a resident of Carson City for 18 years, formerly of Yorba Linda, Calif., left this world to go to his heavenly home on 9-17-2011. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Burgoon, his sons: Michael David Burgoon of Bishop, Ca.; John Robert Burgoon of Costa Mesa, Ca. and daughter Kathleen Sue Burgoon Nielsen of Huntington Beach, Ca. and brother Ronald Burgoon of Menifee, Ca.

Michael retired from First Interstate Bank, So. Ca. as a vice president in 1990 after 32 years. He was active in the Republican Party, volunteering his assistance with campaigns, fund raisers, etc. He was the longest working volunteer for the Sheriff's Dept. enjoying every hour he spent in the service of the Sheriff.

Michael loved his family and friends and football. He was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and the family is at peace knowing he went to heaven.

Michael did not want any services, however, the family will celebrate his life in a private gathering at his home later this month.
