PRESTON, IDAHO- Alta M. Steyrer, 86, a long time resident of Carson City, passed away September 21, 2011, at the Heritage Home Assisted Living in Preston, Idaho. She was born January 24, 1925, in Stephenville, Texas. She was married to Ernie Rolfe and had three children, Richard Rolfe, Donna Roche and Marci Daberko. Ernie passed away in 1986.
She married Erwin 'Ernie' Steyrer who preceded her in death in 1990. Ernie Steyrer owned and operated Servo Gear in Mound House. Alta worked for TRW in California before coming to Carson City. She was a technician on the Lunar Landing Module, Sky Lab and the Apollo space missions.
She will be missed by her surviving family, Marci Daberko of Idaho, Vicki Cox of Texas, all her grandchildren and extended family and all that loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11 am at Webb Funeral Home in Preston, Idaho. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
