Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail recently. All are innocent unless proved guilty.

• Byron Glenn Reber, 59, of Carson City, was arrested Monday at about 8 p.m. and charged with felony burglary.

His ex-roommate called the police at about 7 p.m. to report a residential burglary. According to the arrest report, he told police that Reber had come into his house while he was napping and stole his prescription medication. He reportedly told police that Reber had done this before and it was the reason Reber was kicked out of the house.

Another friend called the alleged victim and reported that Reber had had come over and admitted to him that he took the victim's medication, according to the police report. Reber was then arrested at the friend's house.

His bail was $25,000.

• Ronda Lynn Broughton, 47, of Carson City, was arrested at about 11 p.m. Monday and charged with felony possession of a prescription drug without a prescription and several misdemeanors.

A deputy reportedly saw Broughton's vehicle swerve and over correct, crossing both left and right fog lines. When pulled over, the deputy reported Broughton looked very nervous but didn't smell of alcohol. Broughton reportedly admitted to taking Vicodin and Soma several hours earlier. The deputy reported finding a pill bottle with Vicodin, a small amount of marijuana and a pipe.

Her misdemeanor charges included possession of drug paraphernalia, first-offense driving under the influence of drugs and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Her bail was $2,500.

• Alisha Dawn Bench, 26, and Steven Lisch, 32, both of Santa Rosa, Calif., were arrested at about 6 p.m. Monday after allegedly trying to pass a fraudulent check.

Deputies found Bench and Lisch at the parking lot of the Nugget Hotel and Casino, where Bench reportedly admitted to trying to cash a fraudulent check that Lisch, her boyfriend, had written. She reportedly told police that she was afraid he would hurt her if she did not cash the check.

She reportedly told police that they had argued, she kicked the windshield of Lisch's Cadillac and he hit her in the head with an open hand. She also showed deputies bruises all over her arms and stated they were from Lisch, according to the arrest. A warrant check for Lisch also showed a felony warrant out of Sonoma County, Calif., according to the report.

Bench and Lisch were charged with obtaining money under false pretenses, a felony. Lisch was also charged with felony failure to appear and misdemeanor domestic battery.

Bench's bail was $2,500. Lisch's bail was $85,500.

• Steven William McIntosh, 29, of Carson City, was arrested at about 2 a.m. Tuesday and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor disobedience to a traffic control device.

A deputy reportedly saw McIntosh's vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign near Market Street and College Parkway. Once McIntosh was pulled over, the deputy reported that he appeared very nervous and his hands were shaking. McIntosh gave consent for a drug dog to search his vehicle, but first advised he had heroin in his center console.

His bail was $2,587.
