ONTARIO, Calif. - Carson Little League Senior all-stars dropped a 13-3 decision to Hawaii in their opening pool-play game at the West Regionals.
Carson returns to action on Friday at 3 against Southern California in the pool-play portion of the tournament.
Zac Harjes worked the first two inning on the mound, allowing four runs. Josiah Pongasi pitched an inning and Derek Encina finished up.
Harjes led the offense with two hits, while Pongasi, Nate Controneo and Jared Akers added a hit each.
Controneo singled home a run, Akers doubled home a run and Seamus Burns got an RBI with an infield out.
