On August 18th, Myra "Jane" Grider (nee McBroom) passed away peacefully in her Carson City home, surrounded by her family.

Jane, the fourth of five children, was born to farmers Dave and Emma Dee McBroom on May 4th, 1932 in Sentinel, Oklahoma.

Fleeing the drought of the Dust Bowl, Jane's parents moved their family to the green fields of Southern California, where Jane eventually had three children and a long career in the grocery business.

In 1975, Jane moved to Nevada, got her Real Estate license, and during her more than 25-year career, brokered deals from as far south as Las Vegas to as far north as Winnemucca. She was very proud to be a Nevada resident.

Surviving her are: one sister, Patsy; one daughter, Donna; and two sons, William and Lee.

In her last days, Jane was cared for by wonderful professionals of Vista Care Hospice and two loving neighbors, Shirley and Caroline.
