Last day for annual toy drive

Capital Christian Center’s “Increasing the Joy” toy drive is accepting new, unwrapped gifts throughout today to distribute to local children at noon Saturday at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, 1870 Russell Way.Gifts can be dropped off at Capital Christian Center, Ming’s Restaurant, Denny’s, San Rafael Coffee, Platinum Hair Salon, Tolman & Co Jewelers, Kei Sushi, Walmart, Savemart, Click Bond, Capitol Shell and both Carson City Pizza Factory restaurants.Volunteers are also needed to distribute gifts at Saturday’s event. The event will offer hot chocolate, cookies, lunch, ham and turkey giveaways, pictures with Santa and one Christmas present per child while supplies last.
