The Douglas County Sheriff's Office released two photos Wednesday of a suspect in last Friday's armed robbery of a Minden convenience store.

"We are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect or vehicle involved," said Sgt. Jim Halsey.

Secret Witness has offered a $750 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

A man wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt, mask and gloves entered the J&M Mini Mart on Highway 395 in Minden about 8:45 p.m. Feb. 10.

He pointed a handgun at the clerk who was cleaning up inside the store and demanded that the cash in the register be placed inside a nylon bag that the suspect provided. The suspect fled to an awaiting vehicle, which may have been a Volkswagen Jetta or an Audi, and the vehicle headed into Minden. Deputies believe a second suspect was inside the vehicle during the robbery as the getaway driver.

The suspect who took the money is described as 5 feet 11 to 6 feet tall, medium build, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, mask and black gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call Secret Witness at 782-7463 or Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigations, 782-9905.
