Ed was born and raised in Carson Valley to Henry and Alice Haase on May 4, 1935. He was a truck driver for Bing Materials for nearly 40 years. A man of few words, his love and dedication for the ranch, the valley, his family and friends spoke volumes. When he wasn't driving a truck he was cutting hay and endless other tasks required at his at Circle H Ranch in Gardnerville. Ed was a Charter member of the Douglas County Sheriff's Posse and assisted in countless search and rescues. He served in the national guard. Ed could build, fix and repair anything, he and son Derik could be found almost every weekend building or repairing something in the garage on the ranch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and never missed opening day at Topaz Lake. He is survived by wife, Sue Haase, married 45 years; son, Derik Henry Haase; granddaughter Lea Haase; sisters, Irene Marshall and Katherine Custis, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debby Byers.

On be-half of Sue, son, Derik and the rest of the family, we would like to invite you to a celebration of Ed's life this Saturday at 11AM at the 3/4 Circle H Ranch, 1350 Dresslerville Rd. Gardnerville 89410. It will be a pot-luck, so bring a dish if you have time. We will be outside, in the pasture area, just like Ed would want it.

Regards,

The family of Eddie Haase
