The final performances of the BAC Stage Kids' production of Disney's "My Son Pinocchio: Geppetto's Musical Tale," will be this weekend in the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall.

"Not only is this a lively, fun musical full of amazing music and fantastic performances, but we're incorporating puppetry as well - something we've never done at BAC Stage Kids," said director Andie Anderson. "This is a great group of kids, and I am continually awed by their abilities, spirit and commitment to the arts in our community."

Based on the 2000 made-for-TV movie "Geppetto," starring Drew Carey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Disney's "My Son Pinocchio" is the classic tale of an aging toymaker and his puppet son, Pinocchio.

Leading the cast of more 80 local performers, ranging in age from 5 to 17, are Brent Lauderbaugh, 14, from Carson City, and Kayleigh Remington, 13, from Minden, who play the lovable, if at times hapless toymaker, Geppetto. Starring alongside Geppetto are Summer Barth, 13, and Alexa Haight, 12, as the Blue Fairy; and Taylor Barth, 17, and Alex Marschner, 12, as the villain Stromboli. Pinocchio is played by Logan Chapman, 11, of South Lake Tahoe, and Cassidy Buchan, 11, of Carson City.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Performance Hall at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for students and seniors, and $6 for BAC members.
