Trinity Lutheran hosting handbell concert

Trinity Lutheran Church is hosting the handbell choir Tintabulations at 2 p.m. June 10.

Tintabulations is based in Sparks, and draws handbell musicians from all around the region. The ensemble includes students from the University of Nevada, Reno, teachers, nurses and business owners. Together, the 12 musicians have more than 150 years of experience in ringing handbells.

Since its founding in 1995, the group has given concerts in California, Oregon, Hawaii and Nevada. They have performed in Christmas concerts with the Reno Philharmonic and the Reno Pops Orchestra.

Tintabulations director Barbara Walsh is an elementary school music teacher, an accomplished flutist and handbell player and is the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers Regional Coordinator for the State of Nevada.

A freewill offering will be accepted. Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 1480 Douglas Ave., Gardnerville. For more information, call 775-782-8153.
