John A. Thompson passed away November 19, 2012 at Renown in Reno, NV. John was born November 21, 1935 in Woodland, CA to Robert and Edna Thompson. He has been a resident of Carson City, NV since 1978. John enjoyed the outdoors, exploring the area and rock hunting. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, his friends gave him the nickname "Harley John".
John is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Kathleen. A daughter, Cindy Mills, step-daughter, Jamie Mulkey (Paul). Sisters, Bessie Short (Glenn) and Ruth Thompson. Grandson, Paul "Adam" Mulkey and granddaughter, Krystina Mulkey. Also four great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements
