Obituary: David M. "Poppy" Middleton

David M. "Poppy" Middleton, age 70, of Dayton, Nev., passed away on Nov. 20, 2012.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 29, 2012 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley 1281 N. Roop St. Carson City. Reverend Mark Frady will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Walton's Carson Gardens 1281 N. Roop St. Carson City. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Walton's Funeral Home.

David was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on Sep. 28,1942. He graduated from East Bakersfield High School and continued on to receive an Associate of Science in Nursing from Bakersfield College.

David was married to Barbara Drum on Jan. 11, 1966; they were married 39 years.

David worked as a Registered Nurse for the State of Nevada where he retired from Nevada Medicaid. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and family.

David is survived by sons, James and Michael; daughters, Jeannie, Dawn and Kimberly; grandchildren, Brittany, Steven, Chantelle, Terrance, Steven, Jessica, Michael, Amanda, Jennifer, Christopher and other family and friends.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lucy; brother, Edward; wife, Barbara and daughter, Stacy.
