Obituary: Alice H. Stange Rechnitzer

Alice H. Stange Rechnitzer, joined her heavenly family on Sept 3, 2012. Born on May 9, 1924 to George and Ruphelle Pfrangle in Cody WY. Preceded by brothers, Bill and Sam; sister, Ruphelle Penrod; husbands, Richard R. Stange, Sr (married 45 yrs) and Andreas Rechnitzer (married 13 yrs); and son-in-law, Dave Scott. Raised in Cody WY, where as a youngster rode her pony to school, later moving to Escondido CA. After graduating she joined the U.S. Navy, where she met and married Richard. They made their home in Kenosha WI, later moving to Albuquerque and Los Alamos NM; Las Vegas NV, Lompoc CA and retiring in Carson City. Alice loved to sew, making professional quality clothes for her family and adorable Raggedy Ann dolls; did beautiful embroidery work; baked the best apple pies and oatmeal cookies ever; had many fond memories of family summer camping trips; and enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.

Good-byes to her family were always filled with loving tears and now our tears are for her good-bye. The sweetest mother and grandmother will be deeply missed by her daughters, Norma Ritter, Carson City, NV; Kathy Scott, Sacramento CA; son, Ric (Bernadette) Stange, Ft Pierce FL; grandchildren: David (Melissa) Scott, San Diego CA; Michelle (Robert) Arellano, Oceanside CA; Nicholas Stange, Ft Pierce FL; Great-grandchildren Zack and Alex Arellano, and Madeleine and Violette Scott; nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A grave-side service will be held at the Lone Mountain Cemetery on Fri, Sept 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
