Temple Bat Yam invites the public to celebrate Jewish High Holidays Sept. 16-26. Services are led by spiritual leader Rabbi Evon Yakar and Canorial Soloist Gary Schwartz.

Below is a schedule of the High Holiday events. All services will be offered at Temple Bat Yam, 3260 Pioneer Trail in South Lake Tahoe unless otherwise noted.

• Sept. 16: Rosh Hashanah Eve at 7:30 p.m.

• Sept. 17: Rosh Hashanah Day service at 10 a.m.; children's service at 1 p.m.; Tashlich at 2:30 p.m. at Lakeland Village Pier.

• Sept. 18: Rosh Hashanah Day II outdoor service at 10 a.m. at Spooner Lake State Park followed by a dairy, fish and vegetarian potluck brunch.

• Sept. 25: Yom Kippur Eve service at 7:30 p.m.

• Sept. 26: Yom Kippur Day service at 10 a.m.; study session at 12:30 p.m.; children's service at 2 p.m.; afternoon service at 3 p.m.; Yizkor memorial service at 4:45 p.m.; concluding service at 6 p.m.; Havdalah and breaking of the fast at 7 p.m.
