Carson High’s golf team, led by Dalton Butler and Jonathon Butler, finished in fourth place at the Sierra League tourney at Eagle Valley West Golf Course.

Butler finished with an 82 and Porter had an 84 to lead Carson to its first fourth-place place finish of the season.

Rounding out scoring for the Senators were Andy Cooper (93), Jake Jones (94), Nathan Swann (95), and Jake Zumbro (99).

“With one week left in the regular season, I feel that Dalton and John are getting more consistent, which bodes well for their chances in regionals,” said CHS coach Jeff Rispin. “With the exception of a few bad holes, Andy, Jake Jones and Nathan Swann actually had decent days. If they can eliminate those bad holes, they can also do well in the regional.

“We have six golfers vying for the five individual slots at the regional tournament, and while we won’t be in the team competition, Carson can still make some noise.”
