Soroptimist International of Carson City would like to thank Kim Fiegehen and Glen Eagles Restaurant & Lounge for hosting the Carson City Chili Cookoff and Craft Fair at its beautiful venue. The mood was enhanced with the wonderful music of Joseph Greco and the Tributes. Of course nothing would be complete without Bob Grayson of the International Chili Cookoff Society and the many chili cooks who participated.

The people’s choice winners were Wanda Russell, Stagedoor Canteen Chili WWII of Carson City who won Saturday’s contest and Bonnie Lewis, Whiney Woman Chili of Red Bluff, Calif. who won Sunday’s contest.

The craft vendors created an ambiance that gave our event a fun, family atmosphere. Our event raised approximately $4,000 for scholarships, grants and projects such as disaster relief, advocacy against domestic violence and trafficking. We empower women and girls locally and globally to be their best.

Thank you to all who participated!
