Competitors will participate in day and night land navigation exercises, physical fitness tests and hand-to-hand combat tournaments and will be judged on simulated media interviews, a written essay and demonstrations of military knowledge before a board of sergeants major. Winners in each category will compete at the Department of the Army level in October.
