Franklin Dee Shoemaker, a long time resident of Carson City, was born on Feb 28, 1933 and passed away on Aug 19, 2013. Dee was a hard working man and he devoted 39 years of his career to Meeks Lumber Co. He really loved working. His greatest joy, however, was his family. They were the most important thing to him. He is survived by his daughters; Phyllis Furlong (Ken), Melissa Shoemaker-Smith, son; Greg Shoemaker (Tara), sister; Mary McTeer (David), 2 grand children, Kevin & Kendra and 8 great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be at Lone Mt. Cemetery on Aug 26, 2013. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Walton’s Chapel of the Valley.
