Obituary: Patrick “Pat” Montell Fisler

August 27, 1941 - June 27, 2013

Patrick “Pat” Montell Fisler of Fallon, passed away on June 27, 2013 with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer. Pat was born August 27, 1941 in Albany, Oregon to Daniel and Phyllis (Fisler) Dougherty. Pat served in the US Marines for one tour of duty. In his younger years he was a cowboy, working on various ranches and feed lots, in several different states. Pat attended school in Arizona to become a diesel mechanic. He with his wife have lived in Fallon for over twenty years. Pat worked at the mines maintaining all the diesel equipment. He was a member of the Fallon Rotary Club, Kiwanis, a Board member for the Museum, and served on the Foundation Board for WNCC. He loved the outdoors, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing, golf and enjoyed photography.

Preceded in death by his mother, and son, Austin. Pat is survived by his father, Daniel of Salem, Oregon; wife, Kit; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Keith Amber all of Fallon; brothers, Omar, Dan, Tim and Sonny; sisters, Paula, Pam and Pamela; grandchildren, Kevin Kelly, Anthony Ambler, Ashley Mazzanti.

Donations may be made in Pat’s memory to the Fallon Daily Bread, 280 E. Stillwater Street or Churchill County Museum, 1050 S. Maine Street Fallon, NV 89406.

A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at The Gardens Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, 2949 Austin Highway Fallon, NV 89406, (775) 423-8928.
