CHS THEATER TO PERFORM AT CAPITOL

CHS’s theater department will perform its first Shakespeare in the park, “The Merchant of Venice.” Come to the Carson City Legislative Plaza Capitol Amphitheater to watch this great tale of mercy, justice, intolerance, betrayal and friendship.

The script is condensed, so the production will only be an hour long. Admission is free (though donations are accepted), and picnic fare is encouraged. So pack a dinner or a dessert, pack your blankets, and join us 6 p.m. Tuesday for “The Merchant of Venice.”

GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER

CHS Skills USA and ProStart are benefiting from the Carson City Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. The tournament is June 28 at Silver Oak Golf Course.

You can register by calling the Carson City Chamber of Commerce at 755-882-1565. It will be a fun afternoon of golf and food with the proceeds helping our students. Thank you to the chamber for hosting this fundraising event.

A special mid-week edition of Senator Square will run this week. Angila Golik is a sociology and government teacher at CHS and also a member of Senator Pride.
