Harpist to perform at Brewery Arts Center

Carson City Symphony Association and the Brewery Arts Center will present harpist Jeremy Keppelmann at 7:30 p.m. June 14 in the ballroom of the Brewery Arts Center.

The program will include repertoire of the Ninth USA International Harp Competition, to be held July 10-20 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. Keppelmann will perform works by composers of the baroque era to the present day.

Keppelmann, 20, was featured as one of the first Stars of Tomorrow performers at the USA International Harp Competition in 2004. He finished third in the junior division of the 2005 Lily Laskine international harp competition in Deauxville, France, and was a featured performer at the World Harp Congress, Focus on Youth series.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at www.breweryarts.org, at the door or by calling 775-883-1976.
