A “Society of Reese River Pioneers” has been formed in Austin. All persons are eligible to membership who resided in the Reese River District prior to Jan. 1, 1864.

There was a meeting of the Fourth of July Committee last evening, but nothing definite was done. The general idea seemed to be to treat the citizens to a big fireworks display in the Capitol Square at night, as a parade would interfere with the picnic.
